ADMISSIONS POLICY

Woodlawn Community Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, or religion. The academy accepts students after an interview with the student and the parents, and a thorough examination of school records and/or testing results.

The sole determination of a student’s admission generally rests upon whether or not the school can successfully meet the unique needs of the student. We consider parental availability and support a high priority in the success of your child in our program. We work hard at our goal to make sure that every student is successful.

We encourage prospective parents to call for a personal tour of the school with our school’s Administrator, Charlotte Tollefson.

A personal tour gives you the opportunity to ask all school-specific questions you may have while seeing the school during operating hours.

Attendance Policy

WCA has a strictly enforced attendance policy. Students cannot succeed academically if they are not present in the classroom. A student is only allowed 12 absences for the year, excused and/or unexcused. Serious illnesses accompanied by a Drs. Note will be considered case by case.

If a student has 6 or more unexcused absences in one quarter, the student may receive incompletes on his/her report card. Excessive absences will impact a student’s future success at school and beyond.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

Tuition is based upon the services each student requires. Please contact the administrator for a fee schedule for your child.

WCA accepts both McKay and Step Up for Students scholarships.

Application and filing deadlines for these scholarships can be found on the following websites:
